MEET OUR FOUNDER: AMANDA JEWSON

My Training

I am a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants and have completed extensive and rigorous training in 1 of only 5 pediatric programs recognized by the APSC.  My programs are rooted in the latest child and infant research and sleep science so you can rest assured your baby is working within not only a gentle program but a scientifically proven one.

My background is in education. I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education (with a Guidance and Counselling Specialty)  from York University. I have a special interest in mental health, wellness, and counseling.

As a mother of two young girls, I understand. I’ve been there. And I get it.  I understand that when the baby isn’t sleeping, everyone’s sleep suffers. It’s not a baby concern or a mom concern; baby sleep is a family concern.

I created this business because I am absolutely passionate about getting babies to sleep. Everyone knows that there will be sleep disruptions when baby arrives but when you and your family find that the sleep disruptions are interfering with everyone’s well-being, it’s time to seek help from a sleeping specialist in Toronto!

I work with families to create gentle solutions that work for mom, baby, and family. Creating a relationship of trust, security, and warmth is important to me and we’ll work together until we get it right.

I’m just a few buttons away!

Emma Hendry-Dickie

Senior Sleep Consultant

I am a mother to 3 young boys and to say that I have felt the long days and nights of sleep deprivation is an understatement! I wanted to work in this field because I want to show parents that babies can sleep! Of course there will be times when sleep is disrupted but when it is interfering with everyday life it’s time to call for some help. I am very passionate about working with parents to help find gentle sleep solutions that work for you and your baby.

I have a degree in Psychology with a specialization in child psychology. I previously worked in social work and as a behaviour therapist for children with Autism. The sleep solutions that I use are based on the latest paediatric sleep science so you know the strategies are gentle and scientifically proven. You can’t get much better than that!

Bria MacCallum

Sleep Consultant

After many nights of racking up steps on my smartwatch from pacing around my daughter’s nursery, singing lullabies where the chorus was a breakdown of the random snacks I managed to eat that day, and trying so many bouncing/rocking moves, I looked like I could have placed first on Dancing with the Stars – I knew something had to change. No one in the house was sleeping, I was mentally and physically exhausted, and I felt like I didn’t know where to start to try and get my life back. It was a rather dark time in a period I thought I would feel the most brightness.

I want to be that hand you need when you feel like you do not know where to go with your baby’s sleep. I want to give everyone with little ones the opportunity to wake up in the morning after having the best sleep, saying, “I feel like a new person!” You deserve it. While I can work remotely anywhere, many of my clients are in the Alberta region, specifically Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary.

Marta Godfrey

Sleep Consultant

My passion for infant/ child sleep is twofold. Firstly, easing the mental load and stress burden of a parent is a priority. Parenthood, specifically early parenthood, is a season of life that brings so much joy, but it doesn’t come without its struggles. There are so many parts of that struggle that you can’t change and you just have to push through, but sleep is not one of them. My second passion is the actual sleep science behind it. Sleep is one of, if not the most important contributors to a child’s physical, emotional and mental development and well-being. Humans need sleep like they need food. And just like we need to teach a child the skills of eating real food, we have to teach the skills needed to sleep properly.

I work with clients all over the world! Many of my clients come from Burlington and Milton here in Ontario.

Zahra Haroon

RSW, MSW, Sleep Consultant

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a BSW from McMaster University and an MSW from the University of Toronto. I have been supporting children and families for over 10 years.

I am a formerly sleep-deprived mom, not knowing what to expect, dreading every night, wondering how much sleep I would get, what it would take to put my baby back down unawakened type of mom. I know how it feels to be afraid of the night, to wake up in the middle of the night many times frantically trying everything to get your baby to go back to sleep, and stay asleep. I know how it feels to be in the thick of life as a new parent and so desperately wanting to feel rested. Having seen all sides of baby sleep (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and having made it to the other side, my mission is to help as many families as I can get there too. Consolidated, good night’s sleep was vital for my mental health and well-being, for my relationship with my partner, and to be the best mom I could be to my kid. I want that for every parent out there that is struggling because we deserve it!

Diana Gonzalez

RSW, MSW, Sleep Consultant

I worked as an EA for 15 years in the school system. I have a BA in Psychology and recently completed my Master’s in Social work. I work in private practice as a psychotherapist and I am a CBT-I and sleep training certified.

When my daughter hit the sleep regression it became clear to me why sleep deprivation is a form of torture. I was irritable, angry, and couldn’t think straight. In this state, it was really hard to know what to do and how to do it so I decided that I wanted to be the support I needed to get my sleep back.

Jamie Lai

RSW, MSW, Sleep Consultant

I am a registered social worker with a BA in health studies and gerontology as well as a BA in society, culture, and religion from McMaster University and because I wanted to continue to advance my skills, I completed my Masters of Social Work from the University of Windsor.

Over the last 12 years, I have been working with families to support them on a multitude of levels including caregiver burnout, compassion fatigue, and general exhaustion. As a psychotherapist and educator, I have seen just how impactful a night of restless sleep can cause clients and the domino effect it can have on their daily lives. As a way to provide round about care to them, I continued to advance my skills as a certified sleep consultant. I want to make sure you feel supported and can be in a place where you are able to sleep soundly, because you deserve it!
