At Baby’s Best Sleep, we’re passionate about mental health, for you and your baby – and we know that when your baby doesn’t sleep, everyone struggles. That’s why we’re passionate about helping families create sleep solutions that work for the entire family.
Our consultants are all certified sleep experts and our programs are rooted in the latest infant sleep research. You can rest assured that you’re working within a scientifically proven program that is also gentle and compassionate.
MEET OUR FOUNDER: AMANDA JEWSON
I am a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants and have completed extensive and rigorous training in 1 of only 5 pediatric programs recognized by the APSC. My programs are rooted in the latest child and infant research and sleep science so you can rest assured your baby is working within not only a gentle program but a scientifically proven one.
My background is in education. I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education (with a Guidance and Counselling Specialty) from York University. I have a special interest in mental health, wellness, and counseling.
As a mother of two young girls, I understand. I’ve been there. And I get it. I understand that when the baby isn’t sleeping, everyone’s sleep suffers. It’s not a baby concern or a mom concern; baby sleep is a family concern.
I created this business because I am absolutely passionate about getting babies to sleep. Everyone knows that there will be sleep disruptions when baby arrives but when you and your family find that the sleep disruptions are interfering with everyone’s well-being, it’s time to seek help from a sleeping specialist in Toronto!
I work with families to create gentle solutions that work for mom, baby, and family. Creating a relationship of trust, security, and warmth is important to me and we’ll work together until we get it right.

Karen Nussbaum | Sleep Consultant
Being a mother to two young boys (a toddler and a baby), I am all too familiar with sleep deprivation and the detrimental effects it can have on the family. Good mental health and sleep has always been very important and is a true passion of mine! I chose to become an infant and child sleep consultant because I want to help other tired parents teach their babies how to sleep and provide families with the same peace of mind, restful nights, and renewed energy that Baby’s Best Sleep provided to my family.
I am passionate and committed to working with parents to find gentle, individualized, and effective sleep solutions that will work for you, your baby, and the whole family! I am a Certified Infant & Child Sleep Consultant with a special interest in newborn and toddler sleep. In addition to being mentored by Amanda, I pride myself on staying up to date on all the latest infant and child research and sleep science fields, so you can be rest assured that both your baby and yourself are embarking on a gentle, effective and scientifically proven guided program. I have a Masters Degree in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
Emma Hendry-Dickie | Senior Sleep Consultant
I am a mother to 3 young boys and to say that I have felt the long days and nights of sleep deprivation is an understatement! I wanted to work in this field because I want to show parents that babies can sleep! Of course there will be times when sleep is disrupted but when it is interfering with everyday life it’s time to call for some help. I am very passionate about working with parents to help find gentle sleep solutions that work for you and your baby.
I have a degree in Psychology with a specialization in child psychology. I previously worked in social work and as a behaviour therapist for children with Autism. The sleep solutions that I use are based on the latest paediatric sleep science so you know the strategies are gentle and scientifically proven. You can’t get much better than that!
